Equi-Rice is a Full Fat Heat stabilized Rice Bran with added Vitamin E and Selenium. Equi-Rice has balanced calcium to phosphorous ratio that is essential for the growth and stamina building for horses. This supplement is highly palatable and contains essential fatty acids that are necessary for a healthy skin and coat. Equi-Rice can be used to increase the energy density of ration, thereby decreasing the amount of grain necessary to fulfill energy requirements of horses during growth, lactation or athletic performance. Replacing a portion of the grain allotment with Equi-Rice helps to limit starch intake and therefore assist in reduction of the risks of digestive upset often associated with excessive grain and minimal forage intake.
Low Starch (15-20%) with a low Glycemic Index (GI), helps maintain more stable blood sugar and insulin levels for better performance. Equi-Rice contains natural niacin and pantothenic acid, both essentail for the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and protein.
The Stabilized Equi-Rice contains an enzyme called Gamma Oryzanol that helps in muscle building and also hepls in increasing stamina of horses in addition also protects cell membrane from damage that may occur during exercise. Race horses have greater needs for antioxidant to protect muscles against oxidative damage. For this reason, Vitamin E and selenium are added.
